COURSE OUTCOMES
The aim of this course is to make our trainees MINE SITE READY upon completion of the course. As part of this Haul Truck qualification we intend to convey as much information about mine site procedures, terminology, Do’s and Don’ts and helpful hints and tips to make an easier transition for our trainees into the mining and civil industry.  
SITE TRAINING:
The training will be conducted on a de-registered Mine Site and Landfill site at Ebenezer. The practical component of the training will be REAL work on a CAT 769D- Year Model 2003. As part of the training you will be bulk moving material, interacting with other trucks, machinery and landfill traffic. You will be required to use two way communications with other plant trucks, machinery and vehicles to safely complete the job tasks.
COST:
$3500.00 for 5 Days training and assessment including nationally recognised Certificate II in Surface Extractions Operations Unit RIIMPO338D – Conduct Haul Truck Operations. 

Backhoe RIIMPO319F

The Civil course is based on the competency for Backhoe Operations
 
The Mining course is based on the competency
for Backhoe Operations.

The tasks include:
  • Mixing materials
  • Stripping /Spreading topsoil and materials
  • Cutting and boxing
  • Backfilling
  • Safe operating techniques 
  • Attaching, securing, lifting, carrying and placing materials 
  • Selecting, fitting and removing attachments
  • Plan and prepare for operations

$2150.00 for full training (No Experience or license in driving backhoe )
For a Black Coal Mining upgrade is an extra $300. This allows you the opportunity to work on both a Civil and Mine worksite. 
$600.00 for A crossover or VOC (Verification of Competency) with SOA (Statement of attainment) is required if you already have a Mine or Civil Ticket and wish to change the current qualifications you currently have to either Civil or Mining.

COURSE OUTCOMES
The Civil course unit of competency is RIIMPO324F Conduct Grader Operations. The Mining course unit of competency is RIIMPO310A Conduct Grader Operations. Civil and Mining Grader operations include:
  • Cut and maintain drains 
  • Form, upgrade or maintain a road 
  • Mix or spread materials 
  • Perform scarifying or ripping 
  • Cut and trim batters

COURSE OUTCOMES

Skid steer (Bobcat) RIIMPO318F

The Skid Steer ( Bobcat ) Course is based on RIIMPO318F Conduct Civil Skid Steer Loader operations. 

The course covers conducting Skid Steer Loader operations in the Civil Industries.

Tasks that a skid steer may perform include:

  • Compacting
  • Truck excavation
  • Lifting and carrying Materials
  • Cutting batters and Benches
  • Rock Breaking
  • Stripping/spreading topsoil and materials
  • Backfilling

COURSE OUTCOMES
The Civil course is based on the unit of competency RIIMPO32OF Conduct Excavator operations. The Mining course is based on RIIMPO3O1F Conduct Excavator Operations . Civil and Mining excavator operations include: ď‚·

  • Planning and preparation for operations 
  • Conducting machine pre-operational checks 
  • Operating the machine 
  • Lifting, carrying, and placing materials, loading into haul trucks, Bulk excavations, backfilling, trench excavation, cutting and boxing, rock breaking, stockpiling 
  • Selecting, removing and fitting attachments 
  • Relocating the machine 
  • Carrying out machine operator maintenance /cleaning up

Forklift TLILIC0003

COURSE OUTCOMES
This training Course is based on the National High Risk License Unit of Competence TLILIC0003 License to operate a Forklift. The course is a competency-based licensing system for persons performing certain types of high-risk work. The course overview will consist of: 
  • Planning out your work 
  • Conducting routine checks on the Forklift 
  • Shifting loads safely 
  • Shutting down and securing the forklift after use 
  • Operations of a forklift

$750.00 For full Forklift Training 3 days (min no of students required 3)

TRAINING & DURATION:
The Forklift training is a 3 day course where you will conduct both theory and practical training. The Public Course Theory will be based at the EET head office in Ipswich, and the practical training will be conducted at our Forklift Training Centre. 
WORKPLACE TRAINING:
EET also offer Log Book In – House Training Plan Schemes available at your workplace. $600.00 

Light vehicle RIIVEH201F / Operate 4 wheel drive - Vehicle RIIVEH305F

COURSE OUTCOMES
These courses are designed to provide persons with training in the use of four-wheel-drive vehicles as a ground transport , legislation requires that drivers are proficient in safe 4WD operating techniques. The principles of 4WD operation are the same for all 4WD/6WD vehicles, regardless of what size or type. The driver is responsible for the safety of the vehicle, passengers, cargo and for ensuring road worthiness of the vehicle and its safe operation.

TRAINING & DURATION:
The training is either a 1 - 2 day course where you will conduct both theory and practical training. The Theory will be based in the EET office in Ipswich, and the practical training will be conducted ona real pre existing Mine Site at Willowbank. The training will be completed on an EET vehicle which will be supplied. 

Mine Induction Standard 11 Surface Extraction

COURSE OUTCOMES
The Mining Induction S11 is a requirement set down by the Department of Natural Resources and Mines. It can be delivered in our training room or at your workplace training room. It includes participation in mining related information to give students an understanding of what is expected to work safely on a mine site.

Successful students will receive a Statement of Completion Certificate for the six (6) units of theory within 14 business days of the course completion and a color plastic Mining Induction Partial Completion card with the student’s photo identification.

Students will also receive a Site Verification Log Book that must be completed by your mine supervisor on a mine site.

Upon the return of your completed log book (within 6months of your Standard 11 training course) a Statement of Attainment will be produced and another Mining Induction Full Completion card will be produced with both theory and practical components ticked.

Students will need to attend a one day refresher course every 5 years based on current legislation.

COURSE OUTCOMES

SITE TRAINING:
The training will be conducted on a de-registered Mine Site and Landfill site at Ebenezer. As part of the training you will be interacting with other trucks, machinery and landfill traffic.

You will be required to use two way communications with other plant trucks, machinery and vehicles to safely complete the job tasks. 
PREREQUISITE REQUIRMENT:
You must have a Haul Truck qualification first - RIIMPO338F.

 
Cost: $900 for 1 Days training and assessment including nationally recognized qualification in RIIMPO206D Conduct Water Truck Operations.

Competency transfer civil to mining

COURSE OUTCOMES
If you have operator experience in the Civil Industry or Military and want to start a Mining career, EET can transfer civil / military tickets into Black Coal/mining competencies.

Participants will need to have experience in operating DUMP TRUCK, EXCAVATOR, DOZER, GRADER, FRONT END LOADER, ROLLER, and FORKLIFT and be able to provide verification, currency and evidence of your skills for each machine you are transferring.

This can be in form of Civil/OHS Licence/s, logbooks, letters of reference, resume etc. The process will involve a half day Generic Mobile Equipment theory and assessment followed by a skills challenge test on the nominated mobile equipment at
our training site.

You will be required to demonstrate the practical skills required by the Mining and Civil Industry according to the performance criteria set out in the Unit of competency of the mobile equipment you have chosen to be assessed on.

 Once assessed competent participants will receive a Certificate for the RII Competency.

This is required evidence for verification of your qualification. A maximum of four different machines may be nominated for assessment in one day. 
IMPORTANT: This is not a training session it is skills assessment only.
